POST INTENSIVE CARE SYNDROME

Post-intensive care syndrome (PICS) is a group of problems people can experience after surviving a life-threatening illness. These problems can significantly affect the lives of survivors of critical illness. Problems can be physical or mental and may affect one’s ability to think or function in daily life. Many patients cannot return to work and do not have the same energy level before their illness.

Sometimes the challenges we face in our lives require more attention and focus. In those times, being around people who can truly understand and empathize with what you have been through can be helpful, especially when guided by a mental health professional.

CLINICAL SUPERVISION

I provide clinical supervision for clinicians in training or those needing extra support.
